And so, Diane Ravitch, yes, the education “system” of our country has been steadily worsening. But what kids learn and how they learn has depended on the individual state and its commitment — thus Southern and other states have always badly shortchanged their students.

Yes, making schooling work for all is a monumental project. But we should be most pleased that it’s Bill Gates and current research at work — not the science non-believers who seem to want to run the rest of us off the planet!
