The Best Gift of All
Some time ago over a long holiday weekend I made one of the worst mistakes of my life. I badly misjudged a wonderful male human being. Misjudged on the basis of past experiences that I hadn’t known still affected my reactions and behavior.
At this point I have apologized profusely but I’m not at all sure that will make things right. And I have shed many tears over my stupidity and coming to the inescapable conclusion that I am a flawed individual. (First time I ever admitted that!)
But then I realized …
The best gift of all is to be loved not because we are perfect but indeed for our flaws.
